Tinora Athletics Rundown

  Earlier this month I sent out some questions to Casey Helton ho is a teacher as well as a High school football coach, but also he’s friend and former teammate of mine at Defiance College on the football team.  I kicked off asking Mr. Helton a few questions about his teaching career then followed into the more important questions about football and those are questions I will be showing here today. 

  This the current break down of the Defiance DIII District playoffs with our Tinora Rams sitting #1 and having home field advantage as long as we keep winnning!

  The Tinora Athletic Boosters Athlete of the Week goes to the Tinora Rams Baseball team. The week saw the Rams collect Tinora career win 400 for coach Renollet vs Ottoville, as well as defeating the #10 & 18 teams in Division IV, Columbus Grove & Patrick Henry. Congratulations!!

  On May 9th, the Tinora rams took on Wauseon. Tinora ended up getting the win at the end with a score of 6 to 3. Also helping gettting the save to win the game was closing pitcher McQuillin. Go Rams!!!

      Recently I sat down with one Tinora High School Baseball players to discuss some topics and heres what he had to say:  Player Interview I interviewed Tinora High School senior baseball player Luke Harris. He is a senior outfielder for the Rams this year. He has a great year this year and hopefully plans to play at the college level in the fall.  Why are you so passionate about sports? I have to admit that I have a sports addiction. watching, discussing, and playing them. I'm naturally quite competitive, and I constantly want to improve. I've learned a ton about baseball over the years—the players, the coaches, and the tactics. I firmly feel I would make a fantastic sports analyst, which is precisely why I'm here right now. Is there any specific athlete you look up to? A few actually, first it would have to be Mike Trout, one of the best players in the game today.   I just conducted an email interview with Jaxen Durfey, one of Tinora High School's greatest sprinters. As you can see, everything went swimmingly. He provided me with valuable feedback on how he feels about his season and his future. He is unquestionably a name to watch in the foreseeable future as his fortunes rise. He has the potential to be one of the next great track runners. Jaxen, keep putting on for the RAMILY!!!!

            Congratulations to the MIGHTY RAMS on the #1 seed for their district tournament. They are currently having a very much dominant season and that #1 seeds shows it. They hope to keep their district championship streak going. On May 19 , they will either play #6 seed Ottawa Hills or #13 seed Delta. They will also have home field advantage to help them through the tournament. The MIGHTY RAMS also plan to make a deep run to state , after hopefully winning the District Tournament. Good luck MIGHTY RAMS!!

       On todays slate of games on May 4th,2023 we have the Baseball team in action at home against Ottoville. There game will start at 5pm tonight!      Also, the Softball team is action at Bryan, there game time will start at 4:30 today. Go lady Rams!             I did a recent email interview with one of Tinora's High School best sprinters Destinee Smith. It went great as you can see. She gave me some great input on how she feels about her season and her future. She is defiantly a name to look for in the near future as her times improve. She can be one of the next great track runners. Go Destinee and continue putting on for the RAMILY!!!!
